[Superstar K Season 6] from “Mnet” communicated with viewers via campaign.

On July 27th, “Mnet” revealed their viewer survey, “We want this from [Superstar K Season 6]“, which took place as a part of the communication with viewers campaign. It was revealed from this inquiry that what the viewers wanted the most was “the affect of music provided by talented contestants from various genres”.

The keywords that appeared most from viewers’ opinions were, as expected, songs and talent. The viewers gave opinions such as “Hope they would focus more on talent rather than appearances of the contestants” “I wish the program can deliver the emotions of the songs” “This time, I want serious contestants delivering many good songs”, putting the essential factor of audition program – singing talent – as the top priority.

The viewers also showed great thirst for various genres and repertoires. This can be seen as a way of expressing desire for fresh stars that are not available in the pop idol-centered mainstream. Furthermore, viewers wanted the program to depict contestants’ seriousness towards music, rather than fierce competition by saying “I hope the program becomes more authentic, without devilish editing” “We want this program to give hopes to people who aspire to be singers”.
