��Choi Min-sik��s [Roaring Currents] predicted to pass 15 million viewers for the first time in Korean movie history

Movie [Roaring Currents] was released on July 30th and is now breaking all kinds of movie records. For example, it recorded the most amount of audiences in the opening day (680 thousand people), most amount of audiences during the weekdays (980 thousand people), most amount of audiences in a day (1.25 million people), fastest movie ever to go past 10 million audiences (Took 12 days) and so on.

[Roaring Currents], which currently is making 13 million accumulated audiences in just 17 days after release, finally became the most successful movie in Korea by going past movie [Avatar] (13.62 million audiences). Additionally, it soon surpassed 14 million audiences to renew the Korean movie history.

Everybody is now curious how much further the [Roaring Currents] will go as it is being a box office hit day by day.

Meanwhile [Roaring Currents] is a movie about commander ‘Lee Soon-shin’s famous grand battle ‘Myung-ryang naval battle. Director Kim Han-min, who made movie [War of the Arrows], once again led the film and celebrities such as Choi Min-sik, Ryu Seung-ryong, Cho Jin-woong, Kwon-yul, Jin-gu, Lee Jung-hyun, Lee Seung-joon etc appeared.
