Today, a staff member of Office of drug investigation of Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced StarNews by phone saying, "We found out that TOP smoked weed several times with a female trainee at home last December. TOP was charged violation of drug administration regulation and sent to the prosecution". The officer also said, "We summoned TOP for suspicion of smoking weed and investigate in first hand, earlier".
He continued that "we are still at the stage of investigation, therefore we can't give out more information".
According to the Office of drug investigation of Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, Top underwent an examination for violation of drug administration regulation. After this, the prosecution summoned TOP. They said, "TOP's hair was tested on May to check if he had smoked Marijuana or not, and the result of examination comes out to be positive on the drug test. So we summoned TOP."
An officer from Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, where TOP is now serving his service, explained about the possibility of further disciplinary action. The officer announced that "This case happened before he started his service, therefore, even through he is found guilty through investigation, he might not be disciplined."
TOP still serves in the military now as a conscripted police. A staff member said, "He is on furlough since May 31 for 3 nights and 4 days. He will return on June 3".
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment, TOP's agency, made an official announcement that "TOP was recently summoned by the prosecution for suspicion of smoking weed before he joined the army. He cooperated with the police that he admitted most of the charges and he is now taking time for self exmination".
TOP got accepted to the final conscripted policeman recruitment examination and enlisted army as conscripted policeman on February 2. TOP will discharge the service on November, 2018.
