Girl group NewJeans gained popularity by conquering Japan's Oricon Weekly Singles Ranking.
According to the latest Oricon Weekly Combined Singles Ranking announced on the 13th (as of January 16/counting period January 2-8), the new single album 'OMG' of New Jeans (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein).
It earned 56,560 points and went straight to No. 1 as soon as it entered the chart. The Oricon Combined Ranking is a chart that ranks by adding CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming counts. New Jeans is the only Korean girl group that debuted after 2016 to reach the top of this chart.
On January 6th, 'OMG', which put a green light on the box office by rising to No. 1 in the Daily Singles Ranking, entered the latest Weekly Singles Ranking at No. 2. 'OMG' was also ranked 37th in the latest weekly digital singles ranking.
