A debut film of 2PM’s Nichkhun, who recently aroused criticism by getting into an accident while driving under the influence, will be released on July 26 as scheduled.
According to JYP Entertainment, Seven Something, starring Nichkhun, will be released in Thailand on July 26 as scheduled.
Seven Something is a film created in celebration of the seventh anniversaty of GTH, the biggest film productions in Thailand. In Korea, it received a lot of attention as Nichkhun’s debut film.
It’s an omnibus film about three directors’ life and love under the concept of that there are changes in people’s life in every seven years. Nichkhun played the leading role in the third episode, 42.195, with a Thai actress Su Kwan.
On July 19, Nichkhun went to Thailand to promote his film and had a press interview and a VIP preview. Nearly 300 reporters and 2,000 fans came to the VIP preview and a red carpet event before that.
However, many people wondered if the film could be released as scheduled because Nichkhun got involved in a scandal on July 24. A spokesperson for Nichkhun says, “The film was fully produced by a Thai production company. The company haven’t mentioned about Nichkhun’s recent scandal.”
Nichkhun crashed into a motorcycle that was entering an intersection from his right while he was driving his Volkswagen at around 2:45 a.m. on July 24. It’s been revealed that Nichkhun was driving with a blood alcohol-content level of 0.056%, which could lead to the revocation of his driver’s license.
The police will summon Nichkhun again for an on-the-spot investigation.
