BTS Jin Voted No.1 Star Most Fit for a Solo Concert at Sangam World Cup Stadium

BTS’s Jin has once again proven his status as a global superstar and top soloist by ranking No.1 in a poll asking, “Which star suits a solo concert at Sangam World Cup Stadium?”

According to Idol Chart, Jin took the top spot in the survey held from June 23 to 29, earning 16,036 votes and securing 35% of the total, demonstrating his overwhelming popularity. Known as both the “Visual King” and “Live King,” Jin’s beautiful “silver voice,” capable of effortlessly transitioning between high and low notes, makes him a must-see vocalist for live performances. His sweet, refreshing tone, flawless stage manners, and fan-loving service create an unforgettable experience that captivates both eyes and ears.

Currently in the midst of his first solo fan concert tour and first solo world tour, RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, Jin kicked off with two sold-out shows in Korea on June 28, followed by performances in Chiba (July 5–6) and Osaka (July 12–13), where he delivered phenomenal live performances to ecstatic fans. Every seat at the concerts — including those in Goyang, Chiba, and even both nights at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome — sold out instantly.

In a rare move, Jin’s concerts at Kyocera Dome even opened the top-level 8th floor and limited-view seats in response to fan requests after tickets quickly sold out — something not even done during BTS’s group concerts at the same venue. Japanese fans were stunned by the unprecedented full-house.

Alongside the sold-out concert merchandise, Jin also made history as the first Korean solo artist to have his fan concert tour reported on the front page of all five of Japan’s major sports newspapers: Sports Nippon, Daily Sports, Nikkan Sports, Sports Hochi, and Sankei Sports for two consecutive days (July 12–13). These newspapers sold out quickly across various regions, proving his immense popularity. Four of the newspapers even featured follow-up coverage on July 14, further underscoring Jin’s unmatched star power.

The newspapers featuring Jin’s tour reached No.1 in “Hot New Releases” and No.1 in Best-Selling Japanese Books on Amazon Japan, highlighting his extraordinary influence.

Meanwhile, starting July 17 (local time), Jin will continue his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Anaheim, followed by stops in Dallas, Tampa, and Newark, then moving on to London, Amsterdam, and a total of 18 concerts across 9 cities. Notably, Jin is set to make history as the first K-pop soloist to hold a solo concert at London’s O2 Arena.

Due to explosive demand, many fans were unable to secure tickets even after long waits and are now desperately hoping for encore concerts. Fans have voiced that “no concert is complete without an encore,” and even if Jin is busy, they'd be thrilled for an encore show sometime within this year. Some even said if securing a venue in Korea is difficult, encore concerts abroad would still be warmly welcomed.
