BTS Jungkook Continues Breaking Spotify Records:Seven’ Charts for 105 Weeks, ‘GOLDEN’ for 89 Weeks — First for an Asian Soloist

BTS’s Jungkook continues to set dazzling new records on Spotify.

His solo debut single “Seven”, released in July 2023, ranked No. 89 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart for the week of July 11–17. “Seven” has now charted for 105 consecutive weeks — the longest and first ever for a song by an Asian solo artist in the platform's history.

Jungkook’s first solo album “GOLDEN”, released in November 2023, ranked No. 63 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart for the same week, rising 9 spots. “GOLDEN” has also charted for 89 consecutive weeks, making it the first and longest-charting album by an Asian soloist, continuing its global mega-hit status alongside “Seven”.

Despite having no official activities since his military enlistment, Jungkook re-entered Spotify’s Weekly Top Artists Global chart during the week of July 11–17, marking his 111th week on the chart in total.

As of July 24 (KST), “Seven” has surpassed 2.458 billion streams on Spotify, currently ranking as the 80th most-streamed song on the platform.

Additionally, “GOLDEN” has become the first album by an Asian soloist to surpass 5.8 billion cumulative streams on Spotify.

“Seven” has also made history on Billboard’s major charts, Global 200 and Global (excluding U.S.), charting for 104 and 105 weeks respectively — the longest streak ever for an Asian solo artist.

Meanwhile, Jungkook’s personal Spotify account has reached a record 9.2 billion total streams across all credits, the fastest for any Asian artist and the first for a K-pop soloist. His monthly listeners have exceeded 17.5 million.ocial media post!
