BTS’s Jungkook is showing off his extraordinary global presence once again, surpassing 9.5 million followers on his new Instagram account.
Jungkook launched his new Instagram account on July 15. Despite having no posts, the account has already exceeded 9.5 million followers, with the 10 million mark now in sight. His username, @mnijungkook, stands for “My Name Is Jung Kook.”
His follower count skyrocketed immediately — reaching 6.8 million within just one day, 7.6 million in two days, and 8 million by July 18, demonstrating his immense global popularity and undeniable influence as a world-class superstar.
Previously, in 2023, Jungkook deleted his personal Instagram account, which had amassed 52.4 million followers — a number equivalent to the population of South Korea. At the time, Jungkook nonchalantly explained, “It wasn’t hacked. I just don’t use it anymore, so I deleted it.”
According to BestNine, a social media analytics site, the estimated value of an Instagram account with 2 million followers in 2020 was around 1.7 billion KRW (approximately $1.3 million USD). Based on this scale, Jungkook’s former account in 2023 was estimated to be worth around 45 billion KRW (approx. $35 million USD).
Meanwhile, Jungkook’s pet dog Jeon Bam has also made a name for himself. His dedicated Instagram account @bowwow_bam boasts 7.7 million followers, earning him the title of "celebrity dog."
In addition, Jungkook's personal account on the global short-form video platform TikTok recently surpassed 22 million followers, further affirming his unmatched worldwide reach.
