BTS Jungkook Wins ‘International Song of the Year’ at 2025 SEC Awards for Third Consecutive Year
BTS’s Jungkook continued to showcase his global popularity by winning the “International Song of the Year” award at the 2025 SEC Awards for the third year in a row.
Brazilian entertainment website Seriesemcena hosted the 2025 SEC Awards (2024 SEC Awards) through its official website and social media channels. Jungkook won the “International Song of the Year” award with his self-composed track Never Let Go, reaffirming his presence as a global pop star.
Jungkook achieved three consecutive wins in the “International Song of the Year” category with Left and Right in 2023, Seven in 2024, and Never Let Go in 2025.
At the SEC Awards, Jungkook also earned three accolades in 2024: “International Song of the Year,” “International Male Artist of the Year,” and “International Feat of the Year.” Previously, in 2023, he had won two awards: “International Male Artist” and “International Song of the Year.”
Never Let Go, released as a digital single in 2024 and self-composed by Jungkook, continues to enjoy strong streaming popularity, surpassing 200 million streams on Spotify. Although a fan song, it also performed strongly on global charts: it reached No. 12 on Billboard’s Global (Excl. U.S.) chart and No. 20 on the Global 200 chart. On the UK Official Singles Chart, a key counterpart to Billboard, the song ranked No. 60 on the Top 100, No. 3 on the Singles Sales chart, and No. 1 on the Singles Downloads chart, demonstrating Jungkook’s formidable digital performance power.
He was also recognized at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards, hosted by U.S. music rights organization Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), winning the “Most Performed Songs of the Year” award for his tracks 3D and Standing Next to You.
At the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Jungkook won two awards: “K-Pop Artist of the Year” and “Best Music Video” for his solo single Seven, setting a new record as the most-awarded Asian solo artist in the ceremony’s history.
Additionally, he became the first and only Asian artist to win “The Male Artist of the Year” at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.
At the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), Jungkook secured a total of three trophies over 2023–2024, setting a record as the most-awarded K-pop solo artist in history.
Jungkook also topped Billboard’s “2024 Billboard K-Pop Artist 100” chart and was recognized in Billboard’s Greatest Pop Stars of 2023: Introduction & Honorable Mentions list.
