A video of IVE member Jang Wonyoung experiencing military training has surpassed 4 million views.
On August 28, the YouTube web variety show The Offenders uploaded a video titled IVE Jang Wonyoung’s Military Enlistment Experience [Seokyeong University Department of Military Science]. Wearing a military uniform to take part in the program’s military science training experience, Jang Wonyoung appeared with excitement, saying, “This looks fun.”
However, once the real training began, she failed to maintain her usual “Wonyoung-like composure,” drawing laughter. At one point, she even apologized to Kai, saying, “I’m sorry for asking you to come.” Jang’s appearance had already generated buzz from the teaser alone. In particular, controversy arose when she wore work gloves inside-out. But the misunderstanding was cleared when on-screen text explained: “Work gloves are worn with the non-slip coated side facing outward to reduce friction.”
The video featuring Jang Wonyoung surpassed 4.7 million views within just three days of release, drawing massive attention.
On the 29th, Jang Wonyoung shared her thoughts on a fan communication platform, saying: “I honestly thought guerrilla training meant shooting practice. I actually thought it would be something like KidZania (a children’s theme park). Still, it was such a fun memory. Now I can join in on army talk too.”
