Global top group BTS has added another 1.5-billion-streaming track to their Spotify record.
“My Universe,” the collaboration between BTS and Coldplay released in September 2021, has surpassed 1.5 billion cumulative streams on the world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify (as of August 31). This marks BTS’s second group track to exceed 1.5 billion streams, following “Dynamite.” The song is included on Coldplay’s 9th album “Music of the Spheres” and was co-written and co-composed by both Coldplay and BTS.
Upon its release, “My Universe” debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, becoming BTS’s sixth No. 1 hit on the chart. It also peaked at No. 3 on the UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 100, creating a worldwide sensation.
Meanwhile, BTS—under BigHit Music, a label of HYBE (Chairman Bang Si-hyuk)—has achieved 2 billion Spotify streams with “Dynamite.” Other major hits such as “Butter,” “Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey),” and “FAKE LOVE” have each surpassed 1 billion streams, continuing to enjoy enduring love from listeners worldwide.
