BOYNEXTDOOR (Sung Ho, Riwoo, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, Woonhak) will take the stage at the opening ceremony of a world-class sporting event.
According to their agency KOZ Entertainment, the group will perform the finale stage at the opening ceremony of the 2025 FIVB World Men’s Volleyball Championship, held on September 12 at 4:30 p.m. (local time) at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
First launched in 1949, the World Men’s Volleyball Championship boasts a long history and prestige. In April, BOYNEXTDOOR drew attention as the first Korean artists ever appointed as global ambassadors for an FIVB-hosted tournament. At the time, Ramon Suzara, Senior Vice President of the International Volleyball Federation, praised the six members, saying: “Their unique charm, dynamism, and influence make them perfectly suited to serve as the global ambassadors of this tournament.
BOYNEXTDOOR, who will light up the opening ceremony, has already proven their strong presence on world stages with their outstanding live skills. Last month, they captivated the audience with powerful vocals and passionate performances at Lollapalooza Chicago in the U.S. Their first solo tour, “BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.1” wrapped up in July, also earned rave reviews for their commanding stage presence, raising expectations for their finale performance at the championship.
Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR is preparing for their comeback, set for October.
