MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M) has successfully concluded their first full-group comeback activities in five years.

On the 14th, the group wrapped up promotions for their new mini album THE X with their final stage on SBS Inkigayo. Returning to music shows after completing their military service hiatus, the six members proved their presence with the title track N the Front, reaffirming their status as a “trusted performance group” that always delivers both musically and visually. This comeback also marked a symbolic milestone for MONSTA X, celebrating their 10th debut anniversary. Opening with Do What I Want, a pre-release track written and composed by Joohoney and co-written by I.M, the group set the tone for their comeback, later releasing THE X on the 1st to showcase their identity even more distinctly.

The album featured the producing talents of Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M, further solidifying the group’s reputation as a “self-producing idol group.” In N the Front, the vocal and rap lines boldly crossed over each other’s positions, highlighting their wide musical spectrum. Paired with a powerful performance, the track delivered a declaration true to MONSTA X’s spirit: “We face forward without retreat.” Hyungwon also released a remix digital single, N the Front (H.ONE Remix), under his DJ alter ego H.ONE, adding extra listening appeal.

Beyond music shows, the members actively entertained fans across various platforms. Shownu strengthened his presence as a fixed MC on the web variety show Nopogi. The group also appeared on Mnet’s National Sparkling Tour as well as web shows like Limousine Service, Bapsahyo, Jibdaeseong, On the Move! Risabae, and Sangsu-dong Studio, showcasing not only their musical talent but also their wit and charm as “variety show guarantees.” In particular, Joohoney, who recently displayed his comedic side in MONSTA X’s original content Mon Eat Go with the group’s signature “Pony Game,” has been cast as the sole MC for the upcoming web variety show Good Deed Center – Sim Cheong, set to premiere in October.

Furthermore, with this album, MONSTA X achieved their highest-ever first-week sales, proving both their 10 years of experience and their ongoing momentum. With their teamwork and performances shining brighter than ever, anticipation for the next chapter of “full-group MONSTA X” continues to build. The members expressed their gratitude and closing thoughts through their agency, Starship Entertainment.
