Singer IU’s music video for “Love wins all” has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, setting yet another record.
According to her agency EDAM Entertainment, as of 12:27 a.m. on the 19th, IU’s “Love wins all” MV had reached 100 million views. This marks IU’s ninth music video to achieve over 100 million views, following “Twenty-three,” “Through the Night,” “Palette,” “BBIBBI,” “Blueming,” “Eight,” “Celebrity,” and “LILAC.”
Released in January last year as the pre-release track from IU’s 6th mini album The Winning, “Love wins all” received immense love both domestically and internationally. Upon release, it swept major music charts such as Melon TOP100·HOT100, Genie, and Bugs, and also topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 23 regions worldwide. That same year, IU was selected as the Korean representative for Billboard’s “Global No. 1 Artist Series.”
The “Love wins all” MV, featuring IU alongside BTS’s V, directed by Um Tae-hwa, immediately drew explosive attention for its cinematic storyline and stunning visuals. It ranked No. 1 on YouTube trending videos in 73 countries, sparked multiple repeat viewings due to its movie-like narrative, and continues to be loved to this day. With this milestone, IU has added yet another meaningful record to her career.
Meanwhile, IU’s latest song “Bye, Summer” is currently topping major domestic charts and enjoying great popularity. Forbes described IU as “the queen of K-pop and K-drama,” highlighting her new release, which has also reached No. 1 on overseas iTunes charts. Her pop-up store Found at Eight is currently running at The Hyundai Seoul, and IU is busy filming her upcoming drama The Great Lady of the 21st Century.
