G-DRAGON’s signature flower block merchandise “GD 818 BLOOM,” which embodies his philosophy and wish for peace, has completely sold out.
According to MTRI INC., the project’s organizer, pre-orders for “GD 818 BLOOM” opened at 10 a.m. on September 21, World Peace Day, and all domestic stock was sold out within just three hours, they announced on the 22nd.
As the world’s first DIY creation inspired by an artist’s persona, “GD 818 BLOOM” drew attention for being developed using G-DRAGON’s PEACEMINUSONE intellectual property (IP) and produced by Korean block company Oxford.
In particular, “GD 818 BLOOM” included a special hologram authentication certificate to prevent counterfeiting, enhancing its collectible value. It also garnered major attention from fans and collectors worldwide after it was revealed that G-DRAGON directly participated in the design and development process.
Recently, major foreign media outlets have reported on “GD 818 BLOOM” with keen interest, while well-known influencers around the world have sparked buzz on social media by posting resale requests.
A representative from MTRI INC. stated, “‘GD 818 BLOOM,’ which embodies G-DRAGON’s peace message, received explosive global response even before its release, leading to a complete sellout. With domestic fans flooding us with additional purchase inquiries, we are reviewing a second round of sales by securing remaining overseas inventory.”
Meanwhile, “GD 818 BLOOM,” which also sold out on AliExpress, was distributed globally in collaboration with Polaris AI. To ensure fair purchasing opportunities, major country-specific sites were launched simultaneously, making the product easily accessible to overseas customers.
