Big Hit Music’s rookie boy group CORTIS has reached the top of domestic music charts.
The debut album’s intro track, GO!, claimed #1 on Apple Music Korea’s “Top 100 Today” (as of September 21). The song debuted at #81 on the release day (September 8) and steadily climbed the charts, reaching the top spot in just 13 days. Alongside GO! (#1), follow-up track FaSHioN (#5) and the title track What You Want (#7) all placed in the Top 10, demonstrating multi-track success. Another album track, JoyRide, also charted at #28, showing well-rounded popularity. GO! has also performed well on Melon’s daily chart, marking the only entry among debut boy group releases this year at #95 (September 21). By September 23 at 9 a.m., it reached its highest real-time position of #78.
International listeners have also responded enthusiastically. On Spotify, GO! maintained over 1 million daily streams for a full week (September 15–21). While streaming typically peaks immediately after release and then declines, this track’s numbers have been steadily rising over time, a promising trend.
CORTIS previously performed GO! on music shows for a week during promotions for What You Want. Several performances sparked a SNS challenge craze, boosting the song’s chart performance. Thanks to overwhelming support, the track was featured again on SBS’s Inkigayo on September 21 and on M2’s YouTube channel “Relay Dance” on September 22, where the choreography was highlighted, driving GO! up the major music charts. Big Hit Music commented, “We thank fans worldwide for their attention to CORTIS. To show our appreciation, we plan to perform GO! again on select music shows this week as a special gift to fans.”
CORTIS is the first rookie group launched by Big Hit Music, a HYBE music group label, in six years. Their debut album COLOR OUTSIDE LINES sold 436,367 copies in its first week (Hanteo chart), ranking #1 among rookies this year and #4 among debut albums of all-time K-pop groups.
