BTS’s Jimin Climbs Back Up U.S. Billboard Charts…“National Treasure-Level Presence”

BTS’s Jimin continues to showcase his immense popularity, re-entering the Billboard Japan charts after a rebound on the U.S. Billboard charts.

According to U.S. music media outlet Billboard, Jimin’s “Who” jumped 13 spots from last week to rank No. 109 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 77 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart dated September 27.

Having previously topped both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts twice, “Who” has now remained on these charts for 61 consecutive weeks since its release on July 19, 2023—maintaining long-term success 14 months later. With this, “Who” ties the record for the longest-charting K-pop solo track on the Billboard Global 200, set by Jimin’s first solo album FACE title track “Like Crazy” (61 weeks). Both achievements are particularly meaningful as they were accomplished without collaborations with Western artists, relying solely on Jimin’s individual artistry.

Meanwhile, Jimin’s second album MUSE—which became the first and only K-pop solo album to achieve eight No. 1 rankings on the Billboard World Albums chart—ranked No. 8 this week, marking its 61st consecutive week on the chart. Following the 63-week record of his debut album FACE, MUSE is extending its run as the second longest-charting K-pop solo album.

In addition, on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart dated September 24, “Who” re-entered at No. 81, achieving a total of 38 weeks on the chart. This makes it the first and only K-pop solo track to spend 38 weeks on the chart since BoA’s “Merry Chri.” The song also re-entered the Billboard Japan Streaming Songs chart at No. 74, reaching a cumulative 55 weeks charted, further proving Jimin’s surging global popularity.
