YG Entertainment (CEO Yang Min-suk) announced on the 29th that it has been selected as an Excellent IR Company in the KOSDAQ market at the 2025 Korea IR Awards Ceremony held recently at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul. In addition, in the individual category, YG also won the Best IRO (Investor Relations Officer) award.
The Korea IR Awards, established in 2001 by the Korea IR Association under the Korea Exchange, are presented annually to promote IR (Investor Relations) activities and foster the sound development of the capital market. Candidates are shortlisted through extensive feedback and evaluation from institutional investors, followed by a rigorous review by the Korea IR Awards Selection Committee, which is composed of experts from various fields.
YG Entertainment earned high marks for its transparent IR practices prioritizing fair corporate value assessment, active participation in IR activities by the CEO and management team, establishment and implementation of a mid- to long-term shareholder return policy, enhancement of shareholder trust through consistent messaging, and commitment to ESG management by publishing a sustainability report that includes a roadmap for sustainable concerts and eco-friendly albums.
Over the past year, YG also held around 300 domestic and overseas IR meetings and NDRs (non-deal roadshows), significantly expanding communication with investors. These proactive on- and offline IR efforts have led to substantial achievements, including greatly expanding global coverage.
Kim Hyung-moon, leader of YG Entertainment’s Management Support Team and winner of the Best IRO award, has contributed by establishing a dual Korean-English disclosure system to ensure fairness in information provision, offering in-depth feedback through both online and offline channels, and developing tailored IR strategies and reports that take into account the unique characteristics of the entertainment industry.
