BTS Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN’ Enters 100 Weeks on Spotify Global Album Chart — First and Only Asian Solo Achievement
BTS member Jungkook has set another remarkable milestone with his solo album ‘GOLDEN’.
Released in November 2023, Jungkook’s first solo album ‘GOLDEN’ has now entered the 100th week on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart for the week of September 26–October 2.
This marks the first and only time an Asian solo artist’s album has maintained a presence on this chart for 100 weeks, setting a historic record. The album also ranks 5th among Asian artists for the longest-charting album on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart.
‘GOLDEN’ has surpassed 6.19 billion cumulative streams, making it the first Asian solo album to achieve this milestone, demonstrating long-running global popularity, and is approaching the 6.2 billion mark.
Additionally, the album became the first studio album by an Asian artist to feature three tracks with over 1 billion streams each on Spotify: “Seven,” “Standing Next to You,” and “3D.” Jungkook’s debut solo track “Seven”, released in July 2023, ranked 70th on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart for the week of September 26–October 2.
“Seven” has set a record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist, staying on the chart for 116 consecutive weeks.
Jungkook’s personal Spotify profile has also surpassed 9.7 billion total streams, making him the fastest Asian artist and first K-pop soloist to reach this milestone.
‘GOLDEN’ has also made history on other major charts:
-
Billboard 200 (U.S. main album chart): 25 weeks, the first Asian solo artist to achieve this.
-
UK Official Top 100 Albums: 8 weeks, the longest for any K-pop soloist.
On Apple Music, the album continues to chart long-term on both the Worldwide Album Chart (over 620 days) and the European Album Chart (over 530 days), reflecting its enduring global impact.
