A staggering 48 billion won! BTS’s Jimin sets record-high media value for a K-pop artist with a single appearance at Paris Fashion Week

BTS member Jimin has set an unprecedented record in K-pop history by generating a Media Impact Value (MIV) of $33.8 million (approximately 48 billion KRW) from just one appearance at the 2026 S/S Paris Fashion Week.

According to global fashion data analytics firm Launchmetrics, Jimin singlehandedly contributed 18% of Dior’s total MIV ($188.5 million) simply by attending the Dior show. This figure surpasses the total MIV of many top 10 brands at Paris Fashion Week, clearly demonstrating the extraordinary influence Jimin holds in the fashion world.

Most of Jimin’s MIV stemmed not from paid advertisements but from “organic digital buzz”—spontaneous fan, media, and public engagement that created a cost-free marketing effect, proving that Jimin’s mere presence can generate immense brand value.

In addition, global media analytics firm Onclusive reported that Jimin ranked No.1 among all K-pop artists in media share of voice (SOV) across the four major fashion weeks, achieving 13.46%. His hashtag #jiminxdior was mentioned over 4.5 million times, making him one of the most talked-about figures of the entire fashion season.
