BTS member V has achieved another 500-million-stream milestone on Spotify.
According to reports, V and Park Hyo Shin’s duet “Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)”, released in November last year, has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on the world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify as of October 25.
This marks V’s fourth solo track to exceed 500 million streams, following “Love Me Again,” “FRI(END)S,” and “Slow Dancing.”
“Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)” is a jazz-pop track characterized by its warm atmosphere created through saxophone, trumpet, and prepared piano (a piano with objects placed inside to alter its sound). The song’s romantic melody and lyrics, combined with the captivating voices of V and Park Hyo Shin, form a beautifully harmonious blend.
Upon release, the song debuted at No. 99 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming V’s fifth solo entry on the chart. At the time, Billboard also included it in “The 27 Best Winter Songs for the Season,” describing it as “a track that evokes the first day of early winter, filled with warmth and coziness.”
To date, V has accumulated an impressive collection of solo songs with over 100 million streams each, including “Love Me Again,” which has surpassed 1 billion streams, bringing his total to 12 solo tracks with nine-figure streaming numbers.
