• tvN Monday-Tuesday Drama 'My Favorite Employee': Interview with Actor Kang Hun, who played Kang Ha-ki

Actor Kang Hun recalled the moment he met his favorite, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.

On the 9th, Kang Hun held an interview at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and discussed the recently concluded tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'My Favorite Employee' (written by Lee Young, directed by Park Ji-hyun), which ended on the 8th.

'My Favorite Employee' is an office growth romance about a new employee, Nam Da-reum (played by Kim Hye-jun), who becomes 'My Favorite Employee' while trying to meet his 'favorite.'

In the drama, Kang Hun portrayed Kang Ha-ki, the CEO of the fashion platform Aphello. Although Ha-ki is a cold and charismatic leader, he shows an awkward and cute side when it comes to love after meeting Nam Da-reum.

In reality, Kang Hun also revealed that, like his character Nam Da-reum in the drama, he started working to meet his favorite, Taeyeon. He expressed empathy for Nam Da-reum while recalling his experience of meeting Taeyeon through the tvN variety program 'Amazing Saturday.'

Kang Hun said, "The reason I took this job and approached it was to meet my favorite (Taeyeon). But as I fell in love with this work, I continued doing it." He added, "There's a scene where Nam Da-reum first meets his favorite, Lee Chan (played by Cha Woo-min), and I felt that matched how I looked at Taeyeon when we first met. Those parts resonated deeply with me."

He continued, "Memories of liking Taeyeon since childhood passed before my eyes like a panorama. I was so happy, and I felt incredibly grateful for having liked her as much as I did."

In the drama, after meeting his 'favorite' Lee Chan, Nam Da-reum sets out to find new dreams. Kang Hun similarly stated, "After meeting (Taeyeon), my dreams grew even bigger. Since my biggest dream from childhood came true, I felt I should pursue other dreams."

Kang Hun added, "When I was young, my dream was to meet her and say, 'I'm a fan.' Now, I want to continue doing this acting I love for a long time. I also thought it would be wonderful if someone considered me their favorite."
