Lee Jong-beom, a former baseball player, expressed his thoughts on ending the "strongest baseball."

On TV CHOSUN's "Foodman Heo Young-man's Baekban Travel," which aired on the 1st, he headed to Gwangju with Lee Jong-beom, the "son of the wind," and went out to find his favorite restaurants.

On this day, Lee Jong-beom said, "There were difficulties in the process of managing the 'strongest baseball'. I saw it for a long time, but it suddenly ended, so there is no place to stand now, he said. "I can't follow you around."

Lee Jong-beom was an active coach of KT Wiz last year when he joined as the "strongest baseball" manager and caused public anger. "I am grateful that Korean baseball legend Lee Jong-beom joined me as he made a difficult decision to leave the professional club," the production team of "Strongest Baseball" said. "We apologize for the inconvenience caused to the club and professional baseball fans in the process of recruiting them due to copyright infringement." We will do our best to become a baseball content that contributes to the growth and development of Korean baseball," he said.

At the same time, head coach Lee Jong-beom explained the background of his joining, saying, "I have decided to participate in a program with a good purpose that can contribute to the success of Korean baseball, the expansion of its base, and the re-examination of retired players."

"The Greatest Baseball" is a real sports entertainment program in which retired professional baseball players form a team together to challenge baseball again. Since its first broadcast in June 2022, it has been broadcasting for more than two years, forming a solid enthusiast. However, Studio C1, an outsourced production company that was in charge of production, withdrew from the "strongest baseball" after a conflict with JTBC and launched the "fireball" with the existing cast. JTBC, on the other hand, returned to a new season in September 2025 after reorganizing its program with new casts and producers.

However, after poor ratings, JTBC decided to wrap up the 'strongest baseball' season. A JTBC official told Star News, "The 2025 season was initially decided to end early this year. It is not a procedure to abolish it, but it has not been decided whether to reorganize and continue in the future, he said. "The fact that if we go into maintenance, we don't know how long it will take, so we may not be able to continue the scheduled schedule has already been shared with the players."
