Broadcaster Lee Hwi-jae appeared for the first time in about four years. Public opinion is still cold because he has been rumored to be involved in various controversies.

The trailer, which was released at the end of the KBS 2TV entertainment show "Immortal Songs," aired on the 21st, showed Lee Hwi-jae's return stage briefly.

In the trailer, Lee Hwi-jae said, "It's been a long time since I said hello. It's nice to meet you. It's Lee Hwi-jae," he said.

Lee Hwi-jae, who was nervous even before his appearance, eventually shed tears as soon as he got on stage. Looking at the audience, he kept wetting his dry lips as if his mouth was burning, and he was restless and didn't know what to do.

When the trailer was released, Internet users criticized, "It's a real supply without demand," "Who compensates for the fatigue of viewers who are tired of Lee Hwi-jae's personality?" "Why is he crying?" "A embarrassing return," "I'm scrambling," "It's amazing that there aren't any supporting comments," and "Where is the value of the reception fee?"

Lee Hwi-jae's return, which was even rumored to be retired, is the first time in about four years since 2022. Earlier, Lee Hwi-jae and his wife, Moon Jung-won, were embroiled in various controversies, including the controversy over inter-floor noise and the so-called "eat and run" that did not pay for the amusement park.

In addition, Lee Hwi-jae was branded as a "disliked entertainer" in 2016 when he made rude remarks to actor Sung Dong-il during the SBS Acting Awards and was found to have verbally abused other performers during past broadcasts.
