Former Go player Lee Se-dol and professional gamer Faker met with Son Seok-hee.

In MBC's "Son Seok-hee's Questions," which aired on the 8th, Lee Se-dol and Faker expressed their thoughts on humanity confronting AI.

Lee Se-dol lost 4-1 against AI "AlphaGo" for the first time in mankind 10 years ago, and Faker is set to face off by accepting the challenge of the next-generation AI "Grook 5" being developed by Elon Musk.

Son Seok-hee introduced the appearance of the two as "representatives of mankind." When Son Seok-hee asked, "Isn't there a confrontation with AI?" Faker said, "Big companies suggested a confrontation with AI," adding, "I also like to face off, and I wonder how strong AI will be." I wonder if it will be implemented (for the competition) in a short time in AI companies," he said.

Faker said it would be difficult for AI to be a human opponent because role games are more complex than Go. In response, Lee Se-dol said, "If AI does not put some restrictions on it, I wonder if it is a game that is possible no matter how many Faker players it is."

However, Lee Se-dol later said, "There are cases where baduk is close to infinite to humans, but it is a computable number for AI. With games, AI may not feel like a limited number. From an AI point of view, I think the game will be much more difficult.
