Actor Koo Sung-hwan shared news of his drastically slimmer appearance.

On the 17th episode of MBC's variety program "I Live Alone," Koo Sung-hwan was shown embarking on a nationwide trek from Seoul to Busan.

On that day, the Rainbow members were unable to hide their surprise upon seeing Koo Sung-hwan, who had become unrecognizably slim.

Koo Sung-hwan revealed that he had lost 12kg, stating, "I didn't lose weight through dieting. I've had my own bucket list since my 20s, but I failed twice. I decided to try one more time before turning 50, so I am doing my best in this tearful challenge," leaving viewers curious.

His secret to weight loss was the nationwide trek. Koo Sung-hwan said, "There is no greater romance than walking across the entire country. This is my final challenge. In my 20s, I failed due to plantar fasciitis, but I had resolved to do it again someday."

He further confessed, "For 11 years, I raised my dog, Kkot-buni, and losing her in an instant was emotionally difficult. She was like my daughter, so it was only natural that I struggled. I wanted to overcome that difficult heart. That is why I chose walking."
