'Whenever I Get a Chance' showcased Hyun Bin's hidden variety talents.

On the 1st episode of SBS's 'Whenever I Get a Chance,' Disney+ 'Made in Korea 2' stars Hyun Bin and Woo Do-hwan appeared as "Gap Friends." This marks Hyun Bin's first variety show appearance since his debut in 2003, 23 years later.

Yoo Jae-suk said, "We were soda-fresh teammates who sweated together at the same gym. My body is built on the triceps Hyun Bin helped me build. Goo Hye-sun and Hyun Bin were the twin peaks of our gym, but I moved to a new one. If I talk about moving, the manager would be upset," warmly welcoming Hyun Bin.

The first game, with 300,000 won in fuel vouchers at stake, involved knocking down six cans with a ball. They succeeded immediately on their first try. The second-stage goal of ten cans was also achieved on the first attempt, earning them a robot vacuum cleaner right away. However, the third stage used smaller balls, and they ultimately failed.

After failing the first game, Hyun Bin was visibly disappointed. Yoo Yeon-seok encouraged him, saying, "If we air this later, you'll watch it with Ye-jin unnie. You must succeed before leaving." Woo Do-hwan also vowed to make up for his mistakes and showed renewed determination in the second game.

The next mission was stacking nuts. Thanks to their focus, they secured a razor blade at stage one and barely managed to win a luxury wallet at stage two. The final stage required each person to stack four nuts within 30 seconds. Thanks to a chance bonus that extended the time to 60 seconds, Hyun Bin hit the bell with just one second remaining, achieving a thrilling success.

Most importantly, this was a rediscovery of Hyun Bin. His overflowing competitiveness and variety show charm made his first variety appearance in 23 years seem effortless, satisfying viewers. He would tremble with fear at the thought of challenges, yet during a five-second countdown, he clutched his heart, turned pale, and drew laughter from everyone.

Especially after lunch, when they met young fans, despite being a top actor, he experienced a moment of recognition humiliation that left viewers in stitches. While he had long maintained his status as a top actor with serious acting skills, he now radiated new charm on variety shows.
