Broadcaster Do Kyung-wan revealed the reason he decided to marry his wife, Jang Yoon-jung, after a brief romance.

In an episode of the KBS 2TV variety show 'New Product Launch Binstaurant' (hereinafter 'Binstaurant') broadcast on the 8th, Do Kyung-wan, who returned as a partner chef after five years and eight months, was shown having a candid conversation with his wife, Jang Yoon-jung.

On this day, recalling the time of her marriage to Do Kyung-wan, Jang Yoon-jung said, "We dated for an extremely short period. We were in a secret relationship and got married quickly." The couple had announced their marriage after dating for about four months.

Jang Yoon-jung then confided, "At first, this person probably didn't feel sorry for me. It was a time when I was going through a lot of hardship."

At the time, Jang Yoon-jung endured a difficult period due to conflicts within her family, including her biological mother's debt problem in the hundreds of millions of won range. It was also a period when multiple difficulties piled up, such as her father's battle with cerebral infarction and her parents' divorce lawsuit.

In response, Do Kyung-wan stated, "I felt that was her SOS signal." He continued, "It wasn't like she had no friends around her, but the reason she told me, whom she hadn't known for long, was that I thought this person needed protection right now," explaining why he came to share in Jang Yoon-jung's pain at the time.

Meanwhile, Jang Yoon-jung's mother, identified as a woman in her 60s with the surname Yook, was sentenced to imprisonment for actually serving a term on charges of borrowing approximately 400 million won from acquaintances between 2015 and 2017 and failing to repay it. In response, Jang Yoon-jung stopped loss selling her mother, but it is known that a complaint has been filed over suspicions that Yook recently used text messages and investment confirmation documents crafted to appear as if she was in contact with Jang Yoon-jung to collect money from acquaintances under the pretext of investment funds.
