The movie 'COLONY' recorded the highest opening score among 2026 releases, surpassing 1 million cumulative viewers just four days after its release.

According to the Korea Film Council's integrated computer network on the 24th, 'COLONY' mobilized 1,089,996 cumulative viewers, breaking the 1st million viewer mark.

Notably, this record draws even more attention as 'COLONY' became the fastest 2026 release to surpass 1 million viewers, ahead of this year's top box office hit 'King and the Clown,' which mobilized approximately 16.85 million viewers.

Following its world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival, which garnered global attention, 'COLONY' has maintained the number one spot at the overall box office since its release, continuing its box office boom.

'COLONY' tells the story of unidentified survivors trapped inside a building sealed off due to an unknown infection outbreak, fighting against infected individuals evolving in unpredictable ways.
