BTS's Jimin made a global impact with his performance at the World Cup final halftime show.

On July 19 (local time), Jimin took the stage for BTS's 'Dynamite' performance during the 2026 North American World Cup final halftime show, drawing enthusiastic reactions from both the general public and celebrities.

Jimin appeared on stage wearing an outfit reinterpreting a soccer jersey, featuring the number '7'—Son Heung-min's jersey number and a symbol of the group. During the performance, he showcased high notes and synchronized choreography, prompting viewers watching the halftime show to ask about the blonde-haired performer.

Celebrities also mentioned Jimin. Billboard News host Tetris Kelly posted on X (formerly Twitter) before the halftime show began: "JIMIN AND MADONNA COMINGGG!!!!" Giselle, introduced as a fan of Jimin, visited the venue and shared a video of Jimin's performance on Instagram with the message, "I came to support my husband."

YouTube creator IShowSpeed, who has 58 million subscribers, exclaimed "Yo!" while live-streaming the halftime show, capturing the jumbotron displaying Jimin's image. Popular streamer Neon reacted to Jimin's sustained high notes by saying, "THERE IS A GIRL IN THE GROUP?" and upon spotting Jimin returning after the performance, shouted, "OH MY GOD, JIMIN! JIMIN!"

After resting in Korea, Jimin is scheduled to continue his world tour 'ARIRANG' with performances at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, on August 2 and 3 (Korean time).
