The boy group BTS has added another record to its achievements.

According to the official website of the French music industry association (SNEP) on the 25th, BTS's fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" title track "SWIM" received "Gold" certification in the single division (as of August 20). This certification is awarded to songs that achieve cumulative streaming equivalent to 15 million streams when converting streaming, downloads, and physical album sales.

With this achievement, BTS now holds a total of ten "Gold" certified singles in the single division, including "Dynamite," "Butter," "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)," and "FAKE LOVE." Notably, "SWIM" achieved this milestone just about five months after its release. This marks the second-fastest speed for the group to earn "Gold" certification, following the mega-hit song "Dynamite," released in August 2020, which secured the fastest-ever "Gold" certification in K-pop history within approximately three months of its debut.

The album power of "ARIRANG" is also remarkable. The album received "Gold" certification just six days after its release and went on to sell over 100,000 copies in about a month, earning additional "Platinum" certification last April. Compared to previous albums "MAP OF THE SOUL : 7" and "Proof," which each took approximately one year and two months to achieve the same certification, this demonstrates that BTS's influence in France has significantly strengthened.

Meanwhile, according to Billboard's latest chart (as of August 29) released on the 25th (local time), "ARIRANG" ranked at No. 24 on the "Billboard 200." Having entered the chart at No. 1 on April 4 and maintaining the top position for three consecutive weeks, the album has remained in the rankings for five months, enjoying consistent popularity. "SWIM" continues to hold the fifth position on the "Global (excluding U.S.)" chart, marking its 22nd consecutive week in the "Top 5." On the "Global 200," it secured the 14th spot.
