Evan (Lee Hee-seung), formerly of boy group ENHYPEN, held back on revealing the true background for leaving the team due to differences in musical direction.

On the 7th, Evan held a showcase to commemorate the release of his first mini-album 'DEATH OF ME' at Kyung Hee University's Hall of Peace in Hoegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.

Earlier this year, Evan suddenly left ENHYPEN, which had received overwhelming support from global fandoms, sending shockwaves through the music industry. However, while he went independent from the team, he has maintained a contract with his agency Billiflab and has been preparing for this solo project.

At that time, agency Billiflab stated, "ENHYPEN has been contemplating and discussing the direction it should move forward in and its next goals. We had deep conversations about each member's envisioned future and the team's direction," adding, "During this process, we confirmed that Hee-seung (Evan) has a clear musical aspiration and decided to respect that," thereby officially confirming ENHYPEN's six-member lineup.

However, since leaving the team under the guise of 'musical aspirations,' public interest naturally focused on the differences between ENHYPEN's existing music and the music Evan would showcase as a solo artist.

When asked on this day whether he could not pursue the music he wanted while in ENHYPEN, Evan replied, "It seems you are asking about the process of transitioning to a solo career. Since many people were involved, it is difficult for me to answer directly," thereby avoiding a specific response regarding his departure and transition to a solo career.

'DEATH OF ME' will be released at 6 p.m. on the 7th through various online music platforms.
