Singer-songwriter Song So-hee embarks on a new journey with a new song filled with unrestrained rock energy.

Song So-hee will release her new single 'NANSEN' and unveil the music video through various online music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 13th.

The newly released track 'NANSEN', unveiled today, is a rock song that captures a journey of moving forward despite getting lost in an endless snowfield and frozen winds, heading toward the final signal. Song So-hee expresses her determination to move ahead by embracing even difficult moments as thrilling explorations, rendered through her distinct musical color.

Notably, Song So-hee personally handled the lyrics, composition, and production, once again demonstrating her capabilities as a singer-songwriter. Lyrics evoking vast snowfields—such as stalled tracks, polar night, frequency, glaciers, and compass—are paired with powerful rock sounds to unfold an adventure. Arrangement was handled by Choi Woong-sik, enhancing the song's completeness.

The cover image sensibly captures the narrative of 'NANSEN'. Against a backdrop of a snowfield tinged with blue, the silhouette of Song So-hee standing alone evokes the image of an explorer traversing a frozen world. Cold and dreamlike color tones combined with strong contrasts visually realize the atmosphere of the new song, further sparking curiosity.

'NANSEN' had already garnered intense interest from listeners prior to its official release. Earlier, Song So-hee first presented a mashup stage featuring 'NANSEN' and 'Arirang' at the 'Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival 2026', with the corresponding short video surpassing 1.7 million views. She also showcased the new song live at the 'Medley Medley Festival' held on the 6th, drawing strong audience response.

The music video teaser released via official SNS also attracted attention by blending sensory direction with Song So-hee's unrestrained rock sound. Netizens who viewed the teaser responded with comments such as "I can't wait for the track after hearing it live," "Song So-hee has no limits," and "Rock and Song So-hee's vocal style are a must-success formula," expressing anticipation for her unique musical experimentation.

Following 'PARADE (Life)', Song So-hee continues to expand her independent realm with self-created music, presenting an even bolder and more intense musical transformation through 'NANSEN'. It remains to be seen what further musical possibilities the "modern music singer-songwriter" Song So-hee will unfold in this new voyage.
