Jihyo, the leader of the girl group TWICE, has been selected as the MC for 'The D Awards,' the first K-pop awards ceremony to be held in Europe.

'D Awards 2027 in Paris' (hereinafter referred to as 'The D Awards') announced on the 1st that Jihyo has been chosen as the first MC and performer for this year's ceremony.

The first lineup of performers set to shine at the awards ceremony includes Jihyo, DPR IAN, P1Harmony, KISS OF LIFE, and AND2BLE (in order of debut), confirming a total of five acts.

Jihyo will take on the role of main host and performer for this year's ceremony. She is expected to lead the flow of the celebration with her signature healthy and powerful energy while presenting a stage that captivates Paris as a solo artist.

The participation of DPR IAN, who has established a unique position in visual art and the global pop market, also draws attention. Having captured not only Coachella in the United States but also major festival stages worldwide, he has previewed a sophisticated performance befitting Paris, the city of culture and art.

P1Harmony will stamp their 'three consecutive appearances' record at the third ceremony to be held in Paris next year, following their participation in the first and second editions, thereby sharing in the history of 'The D Awards.' Having successfully concluded a world tour spanning North, Central, and South America as well as Europe, and achieving remarkable results such as entering the top ranks of the 'Billboard 200' chart, they will brilliantly adorn the Parisian night with an upgraded stage.

KISS OF LIFE, which has established itself as a 'representative fifth-generation girl group,' is also included in the first lineup. Loved by global fandoms for their solid live performance skills and confident charm, they will deliver a free and energetic performance at this stage.

The debut of AND2BLE, a 'talented rookie' that has recorded a steep upward trend since its official debut last May, is also generating anticipation. Composed of five members—Jang Ha-o, Yoo Seung-eon, Ricky, Kim Gyu-bin, and Han Yu-jin—AND2BLE captured the attention of global fans by showcasing notable album sales and high-quality stages from their debut album.

The organizing committee of 'The D Awards' stated, "Please look forward to the stages of artists with distinct personalities and energies in Paris, the center of European culture," adding, "We will present a stage that can be enjoyed together with global fandoms." They further noted, "Additional hosts including Jihyo and subsequent performer lineups are scheduled to be revealed sequentially."

'The D Awards,' hosted by Sports Donga, will be held over two days on January 15 and 16, 2027, at the Plenitude Arena (formerly Paris La Defense Arena) in Paris, France. Channel A has been confirmed as the domestic broadcasting network.
