The solo track “Slow Dancing” by BTS member V has recorded 600 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.

With “Slow Dancing,” V has now seen four songs—following “Love Me Again,” FRI(END)S, and “Winter Ahead”—surpass 600 million streams, setting a new record for the most K-pop solo tracks to reach that milestone.

“Slow Dancing,” the title track from V’s first solo album “Layover,” debuted at No. 51 on Billboard’s main singles chart, the Hot 100, at No. 3 on Global (Excl. U.S.), and at No. 4 on the Global 200 chart. It also debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official “Singles Downloads” and “Singles Sales” charts.

“Slow Dancing” is a pop R&B track based on 1970s soul sounds, distinguished by its unique atmosphere infused with jazz elements. As the title suggests, a sense of unhurried ease, freedom, and tranquility permeates the entire song. V’s performance in “Slow Dancing” has been praised for maximizing his romantic yet relaxed emotional vocals.

Prominent music publications such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, and Timeout have highly praised the album “Layover,” which includes “Slow Dancing,” noting that it establishes V’s distinctive musical world. Billboard selected “Layover” as the No. 2 best K-pop album of 2023, evaluating the unconventional flute solo in the latter half of “Slow Dancing” as a testament to V’s musical vision and determination.
