Singer Kang Daniel released a surprise new song during his military service, delivering a special gift to fans.

Kang Daniel released the new single 'Blue' through various music streaming platforms at 6 p.m. on the 21st. The new track is an unreleased song that Kang Daniel had prepared in advance before enlisting, and he added significance by personally participating in both the lyrics and composition.

'Blue' is an R&B song that captures the subtle emotions of two people who vaguely sense each other's feelings but find it difficult to be certain. It unfolds the moments where excitement and hesitation intersect through a sentimental melody.

In particular, Kang Daniel directly participated in the lyrics and composition of this track, while BIBLEIN and JUNBEOM contributed to the composition and arrangement.

The lyric video released alongside the audio also draws attention. The video, centered around illustrations, visually expresses the unique atmosphere of the song, adding to its immersive quality.

Meanwhile, Kang Daniel enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the Army on February 9 and is currently serving his military duty, with his discharge scheduled for August 8, 2027.
