Singer JAY B shared candid stories, ranging from a heartwarming anecdote with his former agency head Park Jin-young of JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) to the junior idols he is currently keeping an eye on.

On the 27th, JAY B held a roundtable interview in a cafe in Heungjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of his third single, "Chptr. 1."

On this day, JAY B revealed the behind-the-scenes story of receiving encouragement from Park Jin-young ahead of his new album's release. He said, "Before this single came out, I had a meal with Jin-young hyung (older brother). In fact, I was worried about getting scolded and tried not to show him the new song, but I mustered up the courage to play it for him, and he loved it," smiling.

He continued, "In the past, I had heard compliments like 'the song is good,' but this time, for the first time, he asked, 'Is there a choreography video for this?' When I showed him the dance video, he confidently said, 'This is definitely good.' Honestly, I thought he would like it. I figured it was Jin-young hyung's style," expressing his pride.

He also conveyed a unique sense of pride in JYP, where he had been for a long time since his debut. When asked about his contribution to JYP's growth, JAY B joked, "Did we not build at least the doors of the JYP headquarters? I think we did everything from the basement to the third floor above ground," adding wittily, "GOT7 actually generated a lot of revenue than expected, but it's a pity that these aspects aren't widely known."

He also shared his candid feelings about JYP juniors. In response to the question, "Since you are from JYP, don't you feel more affection for your juniors?" he said, "That's true, but there are people I have never met at all, so I am cautious about whether I can truly say that I have a bond with them."

Instead, he cited the boy group 82MAJOR as the junior act he is currently paying the most attention to. JAY B praised them without holding back, saying, "I think 82MAJOR is really good at what they do. They are talented. Of course, everyone else is also excellent, but I felt that something about them really caught my eye."

He did not forget to share a lighthearted update on Park Jin-young, a GOT7 member who is actively working as an actor. JAY B said, "When the teaser for my new song came out, Jin-young contacted me. He asked, 'You look great. Did you lose more weight?' and I replied, 'I'm maintaining it,'" showcasing their close friendship.

When asked if he usually gives feedback on Park Jin-young's acting activities, he answered candidly, "I have done so in the past, but I am still holding back on the work he is currently doing. I haven't watched (the drama) yet," which drew laughter from those present.

"Chptr. 1" will be released at 6 p.m. on the 27th through various online music platforms.
