Former NCT member Mark Lee is returning with a new track after two months.

Mark will release his new single, "Happiest," at 2 p.m. on the 6th through major online music platforms. Prior to this, he heightened anticipation for the new song by releasing an audio preview video of "Happiest" via Upper Room's official social media channel on the 2nd.

The video begins with Mark moving his body freely in time with the music. It then features various people appearing one after another, dancing in their own unique ways to create a cheerful atmosphere. The sight of these individuals surrendering their bodies to the music without set choreography conveys an unadorned sense of joy.

In particular, Mark showcased his signature bright charm through playful expressions and witty movements. Subsequently, scenes depicting multiple people coming together in a lively harmony added vibrancy to the video. The natural expression of each person's individuality offered viewers a pleasant smile.

The video also revealed part of the audio for "Happiest," giving a preview of the new song's mood. Having announced his new beginning as a singer-songwriter with "My Friend," Mark is set to unfold another musical narrative with this single.

"Happiest" is an alternative pop R&B track that began with the question, "Is the happiness we know truly happiness?" Mark interprets the most authentic happiness found deep within one's heart, rather than the happiness defined by the world, through his own perspective.

In this regard, Mark recently engaged with fans on his social media by asking the question, "What makes you happy?" As this message led to the new song "Happiest," attention is turning to how Mark will depict happiness in his own language and music.
