Lotte Giants revealed their starting lineup ahead of the first game of the second half against Samsung Lions.
On the 16th, Lotte announced its starting lineup ahead of the away game against Samsung Lions at Daegu Samsung Lions Park in the '2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League'.
That day, Lotte set its batting order as follows: Hwang Seong-bin (center field), Go Seung-min (first base), Victor Reyes (left field), Han Dong-hee (designated hitter), Jeon Min-jae (shortstop), Han Tae-yang (second base), Park Chan-hyung (third base), Son Ho-young (right field), and Son Seong-bin (catcher).
Although Lotte finished the first half with 38 wins, 45 losses, and 2 draws, placing eighth, they have shown an upward trend with six wins and four losses in their last ten games. The most noticeable change in the first game of the second half, aimed at turning around their momentum, is a positional shift. Son Ho-young starts again at right field, following his appearance in that position during the final series of the first half, while Go Seung-min takes on the role of leadoff hitter and first baseman.
Right-handed pitcher Alvin Rodriguez will take the mound to face the Samsung lineup. This season, Rodriguez has recorded five wins and five losses with an ERA of 4.26 in 16 appearances. Notably, he achieved two consecutive quality starts plus (seven innings or more with three earned runs or fewer) against Doosan Bears and KIA Tigers at the end of the first half, clearly improving his form.
Rodriguez has also faced Samsung twice earlier this season, posting one win and one loss with an ERA of 3.00, demonstrating stable pitching. Attention will be on how Rodriguez performs against Samsung's starter Yang Chang-seop in the first game of the second half.
