The Korean Archery Association (KAA) and World Archery (WA) have officially launched a four-year long-term partnership for the global development of archery.

According to the KAA, this partnership was formally established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) titled "World Archery–Korean Archery Association Development Partnership" at the KAA headquarters on August 13 and has officially begun.

The signing ceremony was attended by KAA Vice President Jang Young-sool, World Archery Vice President Han Gyu-hyeong, and World Archery Secretary General Juan Carlos Holgado, confirming the collaborative will of both institutional investors. They announced the start of a partnership aimed at the sustained development of global archery.

The main content of this MOU is to jointly promote archery development projects for four years from 2026 to 2029. The two institutional investors plan to select beneficiary countries and projects through mutual consultation in accordance with World Archery's global development strategy, and to implement various support programs tailored to the environment and needs of each country.

Through this development partnership, both institutional investors are already launching three major projects from the first year for the development of world archery. First is the dispatch of Korean coaches abroad. Since June, coaches have been dispatched to El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, and Ecuador to provide direct training to local athletes and coaches, with activities scheduled to continue until December.

Second is support for archery equipment. Starting with Nigeria, the KAA will provide 30 sets of used archery equipment refurbished from domestic school archery clubs and teams to underdeveloped countries.
