Women's professional basketball team Cheongju KB Kookmin Bank Stars has officially begun its preparation for the new season alongside its fans.

The KB Stars announced on the 15th that they held the '2026-2027 Season KB Stars Kickoff Event & Family Dinner Party' at the Grand Ballroom of the Cheongju Enford Hotel in Chungbuk Province on the 14th. The event was organized to express gratitude to the fans who contributed to last season's unified championship and to reaffirm their determination for a consecutive title this new season. Approximately 270 attendees participated, including the team roster, membership members, sponsors' representatives, and media personnel.

The event was filled with fan-friendly programs even before it officially began. Outside the venue, the team directly operated a championship trophy photo zone, a Q&A zone, and a souvenir distribution booth to welcome fans.

Subsequently, the main event commenced with an opening performance by the cheering squad, followed by a raffle for prized items and a Q&A session with fans. In particular, a dinner party where players and fans sat together at tables to share a meal was held, receiving enthusiastic response.

Emotional moments continued as well. At the 'Last Season Unified Championship Commemorative Ring Presentation Ceremony,' young fans climbed onto the stage to personally place championship rings on the players' fingers, while the team responded with bouquets of flowers, creating a heartwarming scene.

On this day, the KB Stars officially revealed their new season catchphrase, 'Lead All,' declaring their ambition to maintain their position at the top of the league. Kim Wan-su, head coach of the KB Stars, expressed strong confidence and resolve for the upcoming season through his kickoff speech.

After completing their domestic schedule, the KB Stars will immediately challenge themselves on the international stage. They will depart for India on the 18th to participate in the '2026 WBLA,' an international tournament featuring the league champions from six Asian countries.

Following the international tournament, they are scheduled to play their home opener for the 2026-2027 regular season against Busan BNK at 4:00 p.m. on the 1st of next month at the Cheongju Gymnasium.
