Forward Song Min-gyu (27, Nacional), who is active on the Portuguese stage, recorded his first attacking point in just five matches since joining the club. Nacional broke its chain of six consecutive league defeats.

Nacional won 1-0 against Braga in a home match for Round 9 of the 2026~2027 Primeira Liga held at Estadio da Madeira in Funchal, Portugal, on the 26th (Korean time).

Song Min-gyu, who started as the left-side attacker, assisted Miguel Baesa's opening and winning goal in the 19th minute of the first half during a counter-attack. He controlled the through ball from Zhehbi Rabi, penetrated to the left side of the penalty area, and accurately passed to Baesa, who was rushing toward the center. Baesa shook the net with a one-touch left-foot shot, and the goal was confirmed after video assistant referee (VAR) review.

Song Min-gyu, who joined Nacional from FC Seoul on August 30, recorded his first assist in just five official matches (four league games and one cup match). He experienced four consecutive losses since joining the team, but tasted his first victory with the team on this day.

Song Min-gyu, who showed active movement in the attacking zone, was substituted out for Machoi Zallo in the 23rd minute of the second half.

According to football statistics specialist 'FootMob', Song Min-gyu recorded one assist, two key passes, and one cross. FootMob gave Song Min-gyu a mid-range rating of 7.1 within the team.

Nacional was heavily outmatched with a possession rate of 29% to 71% and shots on target of 8 to 20, but held onto the opening goal produced by Song Min-gyu and Baesa to secure the victory. Having escaped from six consecutive losses, Nacional sits in 15th place in the league with seven points for the season (two wins, one draw, six losses).
