KIA Tigers' regular center fielder Kim Ho-ryeong will start the game from the bench.

Ahead of Game 5 of the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO Postseason Playoffs against the Samsung Lions, scheduled for 2 p.m. on the 1st at Daegu Samsung Lions Park, KIA released its starting lineup.

In this decisive Game 5, KIA set its batting order as follows: Park Jae-hyun (left fielder), Kim Do-young (third baseman), Harold Castro (first baseman), Na Seong-beom (right fielder), Kim Sun-bin (second baseman), Han Jun-su (designated hitter), Ha Ju-seok (shortstop), Kim Tae-goon (catcher), and Park Jeong-woo (center fielder).

After winning Game 1, KIA fell behind by losing Games 2 and 3 in a row, putting itself on the brink. However, it staged a dramatic comeback with a victory in Game 4. The team that will advance to the Korea Series will be determined in today's Game 5.

KIA is utilizing the same starting lineup as in the previous Game 4.

In Game 4, KIA arranged its batting order as follows: Park Jae-hyun (left fielder) - Kim Do-young (third baseman) - Castro (first baseman) - Na Seong-beom (right fielder) - Kim Sun-bin (second baseman) - Han Jun-su (designated hitter) - Ha Ju-seok (shortstop) - Kim Tae-goon (catcher) - Park Jeong-woo (center fielder).

By keeping the lineup that secured a victory in Game 4, KIA is expected to aim for another win in Game 5.

Regular center fielder Kim Ho-ryeong struck out four times in a row in Game 3 of the Playoffs on the 29th. Consequently, he was left off the starting lineup in Game 4 and has been excluded from the starting lineup again today.

KIA will start Adam Oller on the mound. In response, Samsung will send Ariel Hurr to the hill.

Samsung set its starting lineup as follows: Kim Ji-chan (center fielder) - Park Seung-gyu (right fielder) - Gu Ja-wook (designated hitter) - Lewin Diaz (first baseman) - Choi Hyung-woo (left fielder) - Kim Yeong-woong (third baseman) - Ryu Ji-hyuk (second baseman) - Kang Min-ho (catcher) - Lee Jae-hyun (shortstop).
