Samsung captain Gu Ja-wook fully displayed his sharp fangs, vowing a counterattack.

The second game of the 2026 KBO Postseason Korea Series (KS) between KT Wiz and Samsung Lions was held on the 4th at Suwon KT Wiz Park in Gyeonggi Province.

KT defeated Samsung Lions 8-7 in the first game of the Korea Series. The intensity of Samsung's counterattack was as fierce as Kennedy's score.

Samsung captain Gu Ja-wook went 2-for-4 (1 home run) with 2 RBIs and 2 walks, pinch hitter Kim Seong-yoon went 2-for-2 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored, Kim Yeong-woong went 2-for-3 with 1 walk, and Lee Jae-hyun went 1-for-3 with 2 RBIs, showcasing a fierce offensive performance.

In particular, Gu Ja-wook has a strong record against Go Yeong-pyo, who is scheduled to start the second game for KT. He holds a .444 batting average with 4 hits in 9 at-bats against Go this season.

Samsung manager Park Jin-man said in a post-game interview, "Chasing the score to 7-8 against KT's go-to bullpen was a significant gain despite the loss." He added, "It is positive that we created an atmosphere where we could come from behind at any point in the middle or late innings, and we gained confidence that we can hit them sufficiently even against their go-to bullpen," delivering a message of counterattack for the second game.
