With the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, which has wowed the world for 17 days, just one day before the closing ceremony, the South Korean men's bobsleigh team will mark the final schedule of the competition.

In the men's four-seater bobsleigh competition on the 21st, Kim Jin-soo's team (Kim Jin-soo, Kim Hyung-geun, Kim Sun-wook, and Lee Kun-woo), led by pilot Kim Jin-soo, ranked eighth overall in the first and second periods, laying the groundwork for the medal's leap forward. Those who are proudly listed at the top of the 27 teams are aiming for a come-from-behind turn in the third and fourth runs starting at 5:40 p.m. today (22nd). Seok Young-jin's team (Seok Young-jin, Chae Byung-do, Lee Do-yoon, and Jeon Soo-hyun), who participated together, will also play in the third and fourth races, ranking 23rd overall in the first and second periods.

The 17-day heat conduction is now about to end. The 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics will end tomorrow (23rd) after a long journey. The South Korean team, which dispatched 71 fighters, has so far harvested three gold medals, four silver medals and three bronze medals (morning of the 22nd). This is more than the results of the Beijing Games four years ago (Gold 2, Silver 5, Dong 2).

In particular, short track performance was remarkable. "Next-generation queen" Kim Ki-li announced the beginning of a new era by winning two gold medals, while "living legend" Choi Min-jeong won her seventh medal in her career, breaking the record for the most medals ever in Korean sports. South Korea succeeded in rebounding in the overall ranking by showing even skills, with Choi Ga-on also winning the first gold medal in Korean history in snowboarding.

The end of the Olympics will be taken at 3:50 a.m. on the 23rd (Monday) at the "Verona Arena," an ancient Roman amphitheater completed in AD 30. In the closing ceremony, Bae Sung-jae, Caster Lee Soo-bin, and Professor Koo Ji-hoon will serve as commentators to deliver the vivid emotions of the field to the main room. Under the theme of "Moving Beauty," an artistic stage will be held with messages of climate change and animal protection. South Korea will fly the Korean national flag with Choi Min-jeong, the main character of this tournament's new record, and Hwang Dae-heon, the ace of the men's team, as joint riders for the closing ceremony.

Meanwhile, figure stars who finished their schedules were invited to the gala show, giving fans around the world an unforgettable impression, as the schedule for each event was completed ahead of the closing. Cha Jun-hwan, who ranked fourth in the men's single, performed a Korean-style performance to Song So-hee's Korean-style vocal song "Not a Dream." Lee Hae-in, ranked eighth in the women's single, appeared in the concept of the Grim Reaper dressed in a gat and durumagi, and showed a spectacular performance with a K-pop dance, drawing a standing ovation from the audience. In speed skating, Jung Jae-won finished fifth in men's mass start and Park Ji-woo finished 14th in women's.

JTBC's 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics speed skating broadcast on the 21st averaged 4.5% for households in the metropolitan area, up to 6.8%, and bobsled men's four-seater competitions averaged 3.0% for households and up to 5.1%. Earlier, despite the early morning hours, the short-track speed skating had a high audience rating of 3.9% and up to 6.3%.(Based on Nielsen Korea paid households)
