The story of the late Japanese actor Miho Nakayama's legacy worth about 20 billion won was reported.

Recently, Japanese media reported that the deceased's son gave up inheritance for about 2 billion yen (about 18.9 billion won). The son, who was born to the deceased and his ex-husband, reportedly moved to France after the divorce of his parents.

Local media predicted that the reason why the legal heir gave up inheritance was due to Japan's high inheritance tax structure. In Japan, a maximum tax rate of 55% is applied to inheritance above a certain amount, and a high amount of tax must be paid in cash within 10 months after the commencement of inheritance.

Earlier, Miho Nakayama was found unconscious in the bathtub of his Shibuya home in Tokyo on December 6, 2024. According to a police investigation and an agency announcement, the cause of death was judged to be an accident that occurred during the bath.

The deceased was also loved by domestic fans through the movie "Love Letter" and appeared in the Korean movie "Nabi Jam" in 2017.
