Park Bom, a member of the group 2NE1, will begin her career as a composer.

On the 8th, Park Bom announced on her SNS, "Hello? This is Park Bom. I have decided to also work as a composer. Whatever I do."

She explained, "The song I am posting now was created entirely by me—melody composed and sung directly with my mouth, lyrics written by hand based on my thoughts. Please love Park Bom's 'Rainy Day' much. I will record it myself with my voice and upload it later."

Alongside this, Park Bom's self-composed song "Rainy Day" was released, featuring an upbeat melody that stands out.

Additionally, Park Bom drew attention by writing lyrics such as: "Today is a rainy day / A day when no one is outside / A day when we all go inside together / A happy day, not lonely / A day when we all go home together / A day when no one is outside / A day when we all know we are inside / A day when the sound of rain makes my heart at ease / A day when I am not alone at home / A day when everyone uses their phones at home on a rainy day / A day that feels like there's a camper van / A day when forgetting men is very good on a rainy day / The day you can't help but forget after going out in your most cherished expensive clothes and getting soaked by the rain, a rainy day."

Meanwhile, Park Bom ended her exclusive contract with YG Entertainment in 2016 and established her base at Detention Entertainment starting in 2018, releasing songs such as "Bom," "Flower," and "4:44." However, since August last year, she has been taking a break due to health issues.

In this context, Detention Entertainment announced on the 6th that they had decided to terminate their exclusive contract with Park Bom, stating, "Recently, Park Bom has focused on recovering her health and resting, and we made this decision out of respect for the artist's stability and future activity plans."
