The side of Wang Xiao-fei, ex-husband of the late Taiwanese actress Seo Hee-won (Xu Shi-yuan), has released a statement regarding the inheritance of her estate.

According to local Taiwanese media such as ET Today on the 8th (local time), Wang Xiao-fei applied to the court for the appointment of a special representative for his two minor children, and the lawyer designated by the court is currently proceeding with the estate division process.

It is known that the late Seo Hee-won's estate amounts to at least 1 billion New Taiwan dollars (approximately 46 billion won), but her mother stated, "I was unable to inherit my daughter's estate. I am about to be kicked out of the house I bought with money I earned hard."

In response to the controversy, Wang Xiao-fei's side said, "Legally, two-thirds of Seo Hee-won's estate will be inherited by her two minor children," and added, "We have established a trust account to manage the children's inherited assets."

Furthermore, they conveyed that "the one-third share legally entitled to Joo Jun-yeop as an heir will be handled according to Joo Jun-yeop's own plans, and Wang Xiao-fei respects this."

Regarding the claim by the late Seo Hee-won's mother that she was in a position of being "kicked out of her home," they refuted it by stating, "We support our mother continuing to reside there and have never requested her to move."

Meanwhile, Joo Jun-yeop and the late Seo Hee-won, who were in a romantic relationship 20 years ago, dramatically reunited and got married in 2022, receiving warm congratulations from fans both domestically and internationally.

However, the late Seo Hee-won suddenly passed away on February 2 last year due to acute pneumonia complications caused by influenza while traveling with her family in Japan. Her remains were cremated in Japan and then transferred to Taiwan.
