Actress Bae Jong-ok revealed her past physical confrontation with writer Noh Hee-kyung.

On the 24th, a video titled "Actor Bae Jong-ok Episode 4 (Explosive First Meeting with Writer Noh Hee-kyung!)" was uploaded to YouTube channel "Song Seung-hwan's Wonderful Life."

That day, Bae Jong-ok reminisced about her time filming the KBS 2TV drama "Lie," which ended in June 1998. At the time, rumors circulated in the industry that Noh Hee-kyung would present a melodrama through "Lie." Originally, Noh Hee-kyung and director Pyo Min-soo intended to cast Hwang Shin-hye, but when she declined citing marriage as her reason, Yoon Yeo-jung, who had connections with Noh Hee-kyung, stepped in to help, leading to Bae Jong-ok being cast.

Upon hearing this, Song Seung-hwan asked, "I heard there were rumors that you had a physical confrontation with Noh Hee-kyung while filming 'Lie'." Bae Jong-ok replied, "It wasn't really a fight; I was cast late after everything for 'Lie' was already set up. On top of joining late, I couldn't read well during rehearsals, and they said I was eating snacks in front of everyone. Noh Hee-kyung was also a rookie writer at the time, so she was extremely sensitive. The problem was that I kept eating snacks in front of her while not even acting properly. That's what upset her. But I didn't realize any of that back then."

She continued, "I also realized during rehearsals that my acting wasn't working. So I thought hard about how to resolve it. After all the rehearsals were over, I got into an elevator and ended up alone with Noh Hee-kyung. Suddenly, she jumped up and strangled my neck while saying, 'Act better.' I was really angry."

She added, "Noh Hee-kyung is quite short, so she had to jump up to strangle me. I knew I wasn't acting well, so I immediately pulled her hands away and said, 'I'll try harder.' Noh Hee-kyung probably had nothing to say after that." She then revealed the full details of their physical confrontation.

However, the tension between the two continued. Bae Jong-ok shared, "Yoon Yeo-jung, Noh Hee-kyung, and I three of us drank coffee at a café across from KBS. Noh Hee-kyung was talking about something, but to me, she seemed like she was showing off. Usually, I stay quiet, but without realizing it, I said, 'You have a very show-off style.'"

Bae Jong-ok laughed and added, "Since the actress wasn't even someone I liked anyway, Noh Hee-kyung grabbed my hand and asked sharply. So I hit her hand away and said, 'So you write scripts too.' Yoon Yeo-jung kept glancing nervously because the two of them were being so fierce."
