Two former managers who demanded a large sum of money from broadcaster Park Na-rae under the threat of exposing allegations that she misappropriated company funds will appear in court this September.

According to StarNews, Seoul Western District Court's Criminal Division 4 plans to hold the first trial session on September 15 for two individuals, including former manager Shin Mo, charged with violating the Act on Punishment of Violent Acts (joint extortion).

Previously, on the 6th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office arrested and indicted Shin on these charges and filed a non-arrest indictment against another former manager, A.

According to the Prosecutors' Office, they are accused of demanding an amount equivalent to 10% of the company's 2024 revenue based on claims that "Park Na-rae privately used company funds for her ex-boyfriend and others."

Additionally, Shin is also accused of misappropriating approximately 44 million won from Park Na-rae's company funds. Charges of embezzlement in the course of duty and fraud using computers were also applied to Shin. The two did not actually receive any money, so the crime remained an attempt.
